IT@JH is working closely with our colleagues in the privacy, risk, HIPAA, and legal offices to review various large language model (LLM) artificial intelligence (AI) tools. Several teams are working with researchers and business owners to enable AI tools to safely facilitate work while protecting institutional data. School of Medicine Dean Dr. Ted DeWeese asked Chief Medical Information Officer Dr. Peter Greene to convene the JHM Responsible Artificial Intelligence Task Force (RAITF). This group will develop a plan for oversight of the responsible use of AI technologies within Johns Hopkins Medicine. For Johns Hopkins Medicine affiliates, this FAQ contains important details and contact information for further questions. Work continues to evaluate and test these tools while ensuring an adequate review of associated risks along with proper protections and agreements.
