Students have a new place to discover research opportunities. Working with the Hopkins Office for Undergraduate Research (HOUR) team, the University Information Systems (UIS) team added student research opportunities to the student dashboard. The dashboard now links to the ForagerOne solution, which houses many of the undergraduate research opportunities at JHU. Students can learn about research opportunities and engage with faculty members on their projects. The dashboard also displays real time engagement data, quick access to the ForagerOne app, and for fun, it hosts random generators for opportunities and faculty profiles.
In the first 4 weeks since this feature launched, there was a 22% increase in the number of students actively engaging with this feature. Currently, close to 5000 students are actively engaging with ForagerOne.
