Sightline preparations, including the transition from SAP to Workday for administrative areas – finance, HR, supply chain/procurement, and sponsored projects – are underway for Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Health System. These preparations require focused resources that limit new technical projects and improvements in SAP.

New work in SAP before, during, and after the Workday transition will be limited.

  • From January 1, 2025 through August 31, 2028, projects requiring Enterprise Business Services (EBS) and/or Sightline team resources beyond routine maintenance and standard support must receive approval from EBS and Sightline leadership.

Projects requiring approval include, but are not limited to those:

  • Requiring new SAP or Workday integrations (interfaces)
  • Proposing changes to existing SAP integrations (interfaces)
  • Requesting new or modified SAP fields and/or logic
  • Requiring EBS or Sightline resources

Requests for anticipated new work should be submitted as soon as possible to enable discussion with the technical team.

Requests must provide the following information:

  • Scope of work
  • Anticipated EBS or Sightline resource needs
  • Desired milestone dates
  • Project funding (should additional SAP-specific funding be required)

Requests must be submitted via this form:  SAP/Sightline Resources Request.

Visit the Sightline website for more information about the program, and contact Dow Weeks ([email protected]) for specific questions about this new process.
