The IT@JH Design Team designed, developed, and launched the new website for the Responsible AI, Data Sciences, and Education in Medicine (RAISE) Center. The RAISE Center, co-directed by Drs. Paul Nagy and Chirag Parikh, seeks to develop, implement, and disseminate responsible AI solutions that improve patient outcomes, enhance clinical operations, and advance medical knowledge. The center will also train future leaders in clinical AI. Potential participants in the RAISE Center’s initiatives include graduate students, medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty. IT teams will be involved with RAISE Center participants via:

  • Secure high-performance computing (HPC) resources, cloud computing access
  • Specialized software and AI development platforms for model development and evaluation
  • Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) tools/ecosystem and Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) implementation
  • Secure infrastructure for cohort discovery and federated learning
  • Epic integration capabilities for real-time clinical decision support
  • Operational analytics platforms and visualization tools

The Center’s three main routes for involvement include Clinical Research, IT Leadership, and Digital Health & Entrepreneurship.
