The IT@JH Design Team designed and developed the recently launched JHU Human Resources website. The site helps JHU Human Resources (HR) support employees along every step of their life journey. The new site features reorganized and simplified content with under 100 pages (down from over 300 pages on the prior site), requiring fewer clicks for users. The HR site redesign is part of the Design Team’s Universal WordPress theme, which incorporates logical navigation and allows for seamless, timely updates. This website also includes a custom footer, a custom contact page, and a feed of news stories from Hub@Work. This Hub feed feature is now standard within the JHU Universal WordPress theme. The original Human Resources website was created and maintained by an external vendor, so this migration will save costs over the long term. The HR team is already receiving great feedback on their new site.
The IT@JH Design Team also worked with HR to design and develop a custom landing page for the new JHU Careers website. This landing page is the entry to the Eightfold career search platform, and features dynamic video content, multiple search options, and important career-related resources.
