A pilot for the myCareer platform, a new career development experience for JHU staff, has launched with help from Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS). The myCareer platform will be the new home for Professional Development Plans (PDP) (formerly in myPerformance with SuccessFactors), the entire career architecture structure, access to the myLearning platform with professional development and learning courses, and access to Center for Staff Life Design workshops. Users can complete a profile (like LinkedIn, but internal to Hopkins) and discover a clear roadmap for skill development, career exploration, and opportunities for growth.
EBS HR/Payroll Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) analysts, developers, and project managers collaborated closely with JHU HR teams, including Compensation, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition, to bring the myCareer initiative to life. The HR/Payroll ERP analysts provided Johns Hopkins-specific implementation guidance to ensure seamless alignment between external vendors, implementation partners, and internal HR and IT processes. EBS analysts and developers designed, built, and rigorously tested integrations across SAP, Eightfold, and SuccessFactors Recruiting, enabling smooth data flow and operational efficiency. They also led integration and user testing, coordinated go-live preparations, and will continue supporting the system through post-launch.
All JHU staff will be invited to build their profiles this fall. This cross-functional effort exemplifies the power of strategic collaboration in delivering innovative, enterprise-wide solutions that enhance the employee experience at Johns Hopkins.
