IT@JH is streamlining its project management tools. Teams previously had multiple instances of the Atlassian products Jira (the issue tracking tool for planning and tracking work) and Confluence (the project management tool used for collaboration and information sharing). Following a successful merge completed by University Information Systems (UIS), Enterprise Business Solutions (EBS), the Technology Acceleration Group (TAG, formerly TIC), and Health IT, these teams are now on one shared on-premises instance. Atlassian ended support for our legacy licensing model, necessitating this change. The consolidation of these instances will streamline our infrastructure and reduce long-term costs. The merge will also help improve operational efficiencies and make additional plugins available to broader audiences.
