Matt joined the IT@JH department in 2008 in a finance role. Since that time, Matt has served in several roles across the organization, but the majority of his Johns Hopkins career has been with IT@JH. Matt received his BS in Economics from Towson University in 2008 and his MBA from Johns Hopkins University in 2012. Currently, Matt oversees a broad portfolio of administrative systems supporting Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Sponsored Projects, and Supply Chain. Matt is driven by user-focused application design, simple and powerful data analytics that drive institutional strategy, the mission of Johns Hopkins to serve higher education, patients, and research, and lastly (and most importantly), creating an environment where employees can thrive doing their best work. Outside of work, Matt loves taking his son and his son’s cousins on “adventures” – camping, theme parks, museums, parks, and boating. He also enjoys traveling with his wife Leah and catching Orioles/Ravens games with friends and family.
