Dean has been with IT@JH since arriving at Johns Hopkins in 1997. He received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. Health and well-being, family first, and teamwork have been the driving values throughout his life. Personal health and prioritizing time with family are at the top of his personal list. On the technology front, people and teamwork are the most important ingredients in implementing, supporting, and managing complex information technology solutions. Hardware, software, and tools are a very small part of the technology equation – talented, dedicated and collaborative technologists are the glue that differentiate our solutions. Dean has three children in various stages of college and adult life, so he likes to spend time with them when they allow it. Dean also grew up boating and racing sailboats on the Chesapeake Bay, so when time permits, he enjoys sailing and exploring the Chesapeake Bay and associated tributaries.
