We are pleased to announce an official name change for our Information Technology team. Going forward, we will use “Johns Hopkins Information Technology” in place of “IT@JH”. It is also acceptable to use “Johns Hopkins IT” or “JH IT” in instances where space is limited. Note: When it is clear that the context is Johns Hopkins (most internal uses), “Information Technology” or “IT” can also be used.

Moving from “IT@JH” to “Johns Hopkins Information Technology” or “Johns Hopkins IT” creates a clearer, more intuitive identity by using plain language that is recognizable to both internal and external audiences. It also modernizes our brand by eliminating the dated “@” symbol and aligning our name more closely with the institution’s broader naming conventions.

You can see our new identity reflected in some of our marketing materials, including the new IT SharePoint, which features resources specifically tailored to IT teams.
